  • Khalid Moore, the 6-foot-8, 190-pound Class of 2018 wing from Archbishop Molloy High School and the NY Rens, committed to Georgia Tech on Tuesday following an official visit this weekend.

He also considered Seton Hall. Moore also held offers from Pittsburgh, Oklahoma State, UMass, Miami, Syracuse, Virginia, St. John’s, Rutgers, Rhode Island and VCU.

“I felt that they would make me better as a player and person,” he told ZAGSBLOG. “they play at a high level of competition and have a good academic program I can rely on.”

As for Georgia Tech, head coach Josh Pastner has made inroads in New York City, landing former Christ the King point guard Jose Alvarado a year ago. He joins Montverde (FL) Academy point guard Mike Devoe and Norwegian small forward Kristian Sjolund in this year’s class.
