  • PHILADELPHIA — Jahvon Quinerly made his debut at the Under Armour All-America Camp on Thursday after an ankle injury kept him off the court Wednesday.

The 6-foot-3 point guard from Sports U and Hudson Catholic played in front of Kansas’ Bill Self and Norm Roberts, Villanova’s Jay Wright, Virginia’s Tony Bennett , Stanford’s Jerod Haase and assistants from Arizona, UCLA and Seton Hall.

“Honestly, I feel like every one of my seven schools is working hard right now,” Quinerly told me after the game.

Quinerly has so far taken one official, to Arizona, and is planning officials to Kansas (August) and UCLA (October). The Kansas visit will likely happen with his Sports U teammate Naz Reid, although Reid mentioned potential visits to the two schools in September.

JERSEY CITY, N.J.Louis King’s recruitment continues to escalate.

King, a 6-foot-8 wing who plays for Hudson (N.J.) Catholic and runs with Team Final on the Nike EYBL circuit, recently added offers from Texas Christian and Arizona State.

A bevy of big-time programs remain in pursuit of King, the No. 6-ranked small forward in 2018 according to 247Sports.com.

“Since I’ve been on the EYBL circuit, I’ve been back and forth with Kentucky, Oregon, UCLA, N.C. State, Miami,” he said Wednesday night at a Northeast Basketball Club run at Hudson Catholic.

“I might cut it down during the high school season.”

King has talked a lot with Kentucky assistant Joel Justus and said recently, “I know they get guys to The League. They had Isaiah Briscoe and Malik Monk and a lot of great players in that program. So going to that program is like a privilege.”

NEW YORK — If anything is clear through two days of the Under Armor Association stop here at Basketball City, it’s that Jahvon Quinerly and his Sports U teammates are going to draw huge crowds all spring and summer.

Quinerly is in the conversation for the best point guard in the Class of 2018 and he’s looking to cut his list in the coming weeks.

“I’ll probably cut my list pretty soon,” the Hudson Catholic floor general said Saturday. “Within the next month and a half.”

He remains uncertain what he’ll cut it to, but said “5-7, something like that.”
