  • Gonzaga freshman center Zach Collins has declared for the NBA Draft, he announced Tuesday. He is exploring his options without hiring an agent at this time, but intends to hire an agent at a later date.

“This was a significant decision for my family and me,” Collins said. “It was definitely one of the most difficult decisions I’ve ever had to make. I just want to thank everyone at Gonzaga, especially the coaching staff and my teammates. This season was special and something I will never forget. It was the most fun year of my life. I want to thank all of the Zag fans for all of their support and passion. I’ll always be proud to be a Zag.”

Collins is currently projected as the No. 13 pick in 2017 by DraftExpress.com.

“He’s the best center in the draft lottery,” one NBA executive told FanRagSports.com.

“Terrific upside,” a second NBA executive said. “He will be a lottery pick by the time he leaves school.”

Duke sophomore Luke Kennard will enter the upcoming NBA Draft and will sign with an agent, the school announced.

The 6-foot-6 Kennard is currently projected at No. 25 by DraftExpress.com.

He is the third Duke player this offseason to declare for the Draft, following freshmen Jayson Tatum and Harry Giles. Duke also loses big man Amile Jefferson and guard Matt Jones to graduation, and forwards Sean Obi and Chase Jeter to graduation.

Kennard, a consensus second-team All-American, led Duke in scoring with an average of 19.5 points per game while shooting .489 from the floor, .438 from outside the arc and .856 from the free throw line. His 722 total points on the year represented the 16th-best single-season total in program history, while his .438 three-point percentage ranked 10th on Duke’s single-season chart.

Kentucky sophomore guard and former Roselle (N.J.) Catholic guard Isaiah Briscoe has decided to enter his name in the 2017 NBA Draft and plans to sign with an agent.

The NBA Draft is June 22.

The 6-foot-3 Briscoe is the fourth Kentucky player to declare this month and the third to go with an agent, following freshmen guards De’Aaron Fox and Malik Monk. Freshman forward Bam Adebayo is testing the waters without an agent.

Briscoe is not currently projected to be drafted according to DraftExpress.com.

“BBN, thank you to the greatest fans in the entire world,” Briscoe said. “Thank you to Coach Cal, Coach KP (Kenny Payne), Coach Tony (Barbee), Coach JJ (Joel Justus), Coach Robes (John Robic), and (strength and conditioning coach) Rob (Harris). You helped me develop my game on the court and helped me grow as a man off the court.
