Akok Akok, the 6-foot-9 power forward from Putnam Science Academy (CT), has cut his list to five schools and set official visits, according to a report from 247Sports.com.

He is down to UConn, Georgetown, Pittsburgh Providence and Syracuse.

He will visit Providence (Sept. 28), Georgetown (Oct. 6), UConn (Oct. 13), Syracuse (Oct. 20) and Pittsburgh (Oct. 23).

Earlier this year he broke down several of his top options.

UConn: ‘They have a great in Dan Hurley and with Jalen Adams coming back next year, I feel like they could be strong next year. I’ve known [Coach Hurley] for a long time. He offered me when he was at Rhode Island.”

Mika Adams-Wood, the 6-foot-3, 175-pound point guard from New Hampton (N.H.) and the Albany City Rocks, committed to Nebraska.

The left-hander also considered Nevada, UMass, George Mason, Siena, UNC-Greensboro, Buffalo and East Carolina.

“They are in one of the best leagues in college, in my opinion,” he said. “I’ll be performing on a big stage every night.”

As for what skillset he brings, Adams-Woods said, “I’m a true point guard and I can run a team and score as well.”

He is Nebraska’s first commit in 2019.
