Charles Bassey, the 6-foot-10 power forward and No. 3 player from the class of 2019, will be transferring to Aspire (KY) Academy.

Doug Strothman, whose private Catholic school will educate the players competing for Aspire Basketball Academy, told My San Antonio he expects Bassey to be on campus when classes start Aug. 11.

Bassey and St. Anthony’s first-year international players were ruled ineligible by the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) before the start of the 2016-17 season. They all became eligible when St. Anthony ended its 19-year association with TAPPS, the state’s largest governing body for private-school athletics, and joined the San Antonio-based Texas Christian Athletic League (TCAL).

Marvin Bagley’s visit to Arizona is off and his next trip appears to be a visit to UCLA on Monday, sources told ZAGSBLOG.

The 6-foot-11 Bagley out of Sierra Canyon (CA) was slated to visit Arizona this week but is not currently on campus and the visit won’t happen at this point. The Wildcats have a full complement of scholarship players for 2017-18, and Bagley is looking to reclass and enroll in college this fall, making him eligible for the 2018 NBA Draft.

He has already visited Duke and USC, where both of his younger brothers were also offered by head coach Andy Enfield.

Bagley was initially slated to visit UCLA Aug. 10, but will now begin his visit Monday. The Bruins have one scholarship available.
