  • Isaiah Mucius, the 6-foot-8, 183-pound Class of 2018 small forward from Brewster (N.H.) Academy and the PSA Cardinals AAU program, visited UConn and Temple this week and plans to cut his list later this summer.

“Each school’s message was different but they both want me to make an immediate impact on their programs,” he said.

As for UConn: “UConn wants me to replace Terry Larrier and be an impact player from Day One. They want me to be able to play all positions.”

On Temple: “Temple said that I would be another version of Quentin Rose who is there and they would use me in multiple positions.”

Naz Reid, the 6-foot-10 Class of 2018 big man from Sports U and Roselle (N.J.) Catholic, will take his first official visit to LSU beginning Thursday, he told ZAGSBLOG.

The No. 11-ranked player in the 2018 ESPN 60, Reid now lists a top seven of Arizona, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Seton Hall and UCLA.

“His recruitment is just really starting to get to a point where he’s got to start  making some decisions on a bunch of different things and really start to look at this seriously,” RC head coach Dave Boff said recently on The 4 Quarters Podcast.
