JaQuan Lyle and Antonio Blakeney will both visit LSU this weekend, when the SEC school plays Alabama in football on Saturday night.
SNY.tv first reported the Lyle visit, which he then confirmed via Twitter, “Going to LSU for an official this weekend.”
Both Lyle and Blakeney are former Louisville commits, meaning LSU will have two former Rick Pitino commits on campus, along with 2015 commit Ben Simmons.
The LSU staff will no doubt pitch the idea of playing with the 6-foot-8 Simmons, who is considered a future pro, to the two guards.
Lyle, now at IMG Academy in Bradenton (FL), visited Indiana recently for their Hoosier Hysteria and is also being courted by Missouri and Oregon, the school to which he committed in the spring before he was removed from their roster.
Meantime, Blakeney visited Kentucky this past weekened and told CatsPause247 he enjoyed the visit and was leaning toward signing in the spring.
Blakeney, out of Oak Ridge (FL) is tight with Roselle (N.J.) Catholic point guard Isaiah Briscoe, who is considering Kentucky along with St. John’s and UConn. KEntucky assistant Barry “Slice” Rohrssen visited Briscoe on Tuesday.
As for LSU, Blakeney told Scout.com: “I haven’t gotten to visit there yet. Right now I just really like the conversations I’m having with coach Johnny Jones and coach [David Patrick] and just the situation to be able to come in and play early.”
