NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. – Allonzo Trier has put on a show at Peach Jam, despite dropping two close games to Each 1 Teach 1 Elite and CIA Bounce.

Averaging 25.5 PPG in 3 games, Trier has played in front of Arizona’s Sean Miller and Louisville’s Rick Pitino, and he lists those as two schools that are working hard.

“Arizona, Louisville, UCLA, Washington, North Carolina, Kentucky, Maryland, Georgetown,” Trier said.

Trier has not received an offer from Kentucky, but he says that Coach [John] Calipari has been in touch.

briscoeNORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. — This is Isaiah Briscoe’s last Peach Jam, and he’s playing like he wants to make it a special remembrance.

After Thursday’s play, the 6-foot-3 guard has led the Playaz Basketball Club to a 2-0 record entering a big showdown at noon on Friday with CIA Bounce.

The Roselle (N.J.) Catholic guard capped off Thursday by going for 33 points and six rebounds, including two clutch free throws in the final seconds, as the Playaz held off Team Takeover, 63-60. He went 17-of-20 from the line, creating numerous free throw-opportunities by driving into the lane with his now-chiseled 210-pound frame and drawing contact.

Earlier, he went for 22 points, eight rebounds and four assists in an 81-47 beatdown of Team CP3.

“He’s the best guard here,” one high-major D-1 assistant told SNY.tv, referring to the Class of 2015 crop.

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. — Jayson Tatum has put on a show at Peach Jam so far, leading the St. Louis Eagles 16U squad to a 2-0 start, after being a late addition to the team.

“I felt like if I went out there and gave them what they needed, I felt like I could lead them to the championship,” Tatum said. “The 17U team didn’t make it to Peach Jam, so they were alright with me coming to help these guys out.”

SUWANEE, Ga. – With head coaches flocking around during the second live July period, Atlanta Xpress 7-footer Doral Moore put his game on full display, and has been relatively pleased with the results.

“I feel like I’ve played really, really well [on] offense and defense. I feel like I’ve left a couple plays][on the floor],” Moore said at the Under Armour Association Finals.

Moore has cut his list to five schools — Kentucky, Ohio State, Florida, Wake Forest, and Illinois.

As for what the 7-footer is looking for when he does decide, Moore kept it simple.

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. — Malik Newman is injured and unable to play at this week’s Peach Jam, but that didn’t prevent him from stopping by the Under Armour Association Finals in Georgia to shake Diamond Stone’s hand, according to Tweets from Steve Jones of the Louisville Courier-Journal.

The 6-foot-4 Newman has insisted all along that he and the 6-foot-10 Stone will be a package deal in college, telling Jones, “I think that team [that gets us] is going to win the NCAA championship.”

Newman told SNY.tv at the LeBron James Skills Academy that UConn, Kansas, Kentucky, N.C. State and Miami are schools that have been recruiting the duo as a package deal.

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C.Eric Davis will be looking to cut down his list at the end of July.

The No. 32 ranked player in the class of 2015 by 247 Sports, says that he has many schools that are working hard to get a leg up.

“UCLA, UNLV, NC State, Texas, Baylor, Michigan, Michigan State, Iowa and Kentucky are showing interest,” Davis told SNY.tv. “I’m looking to cut down that list at the end of July.”

Despite losing a tough game to CP3, Davis showed his knack for scoring the basketball, scoring 22 points (17 in the first half) in front of Tom Izzo and Mark Gottfried, two coaches that are working hard to snag him for next year.

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C.- Memphis hired Keelon Lawson as an assistant coach on Wednesday, and on Sunday his middle son, Dedric Lawson, is expected to announce for the Tigers.

Dedric Lawson is a 6-foot-8 2016 power forward from Memphis Hamilton who is down to Kentucky and Memphis. Memphis TV anchor Doc Holliday Tweeted Dedric would announce Sunday.

“That would probably seal the deal for me, to commit to Memphis,” Lawson told CBS Sports at the LeBron James Skills Academy last week in reference to the school potentially hiring his father.

His older brother K.J. Lawson is a 6-7 2015 forward who committed to Memphis last October. Their is a third brother, Jonathan, who is a highly regarded sixth-grade player.
