Tevin Mack enjoyed a “fantastic” unofficial visit to Texas this weekend, his mother told SNY.tv, but he is still weighing his options.
The 6-foot-6 2015 wing out of Columbia (S.C.) Dreher told SNY.tv he is still considering Kansas and Georgia among others. He had also listed Clemson, UCLA, West Virginia and North Carolina.
He has no official visits remaining.
New Texas coach Shaka Smart had initially secured a commitment from Mack at VCU last November, but he has since re-opened his recruitment.
He is ranked the No. 9 small forward in the Class of 2015 by 247Sports composite rankings, and is the No. 2 player in South Carolina behind P.J. Dozier, who committed to South Carolina.
Mack also visited Georgia last Sunday.
Mack can finish above the rim with authority, and he can get to the rim off the bounce. He needs to improve his jumper at this point, but he has the potential to make an impact immediately.
