Tevin Mack, suspended at Texas since mid-January, will be given a release from the program, head coach Shaka Smart told ZAGSBLOG.

Mack will be eligible to transfer after the season.

The 6-foot-6 sophomore wing out of Columbia (S.C.) Dresser initially picked Texas over Georgia and Clemson. Smart had initially secured a commitment from Mack at VCU.

Mack was averaging a team-best 14.8 points and 4.8 rebounds for the Longhorns.
