Here’s your Friday morning look-ahead to the weekend’s recruiting visits and other news:
**Chris Silva, a 6-foot-9 power forward from Roselle (N.J.) Catholic, will announce at around 3:15 p.m. today for Seton Hall, Rhode Island or South Carolina. Check back here for the story later.
**Chris Clarke, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Virginia Beach (VA) Cape Henry Collegiate School, visits Creighton officially this weekend. He then trips to Virginia Tech and Tennessee. He’s also been to UConn.
**Cheick Diallo, the 6-9 big man from Our Savior New American (N.Y.), takes an official visit to Kansas following Thursday’s home visit with Kentucky’s John Calipari.
**Thomas Bryant, a 6-10 big man from Huntington (W.V.) Prep, visits Syracuse this weekend and then heads to Indiana (Oct. 3) and Missouri (Oct. 10), his mom confirmed.
**Tanksley “Tank” Efianayi, a 6-foot-5, 205-pound shooting guard/small forward from Daytona State (FL), will visit St. John’s and Arizona State on the next two weekends and could commit at anytime.
**Brandon Sampson, a 6-foot-4, 175-pound shooting guard from Baton Rouge (LA) Madison, takes an official to LSU. He also plans to visit St. John’s and Cal.
**Alex Illikainen, a 6-9 power forward from Brewster (N.H.) Academy who is down to Iowa and Wisconsin, will visit Wisconsin this weekend.
**Tyler Dorsey, a 6-5 lead guard from Los Angeles Maranatha High who decommitted from Arizona, takes an official to Colorado.
**Tacko Fall, the 7-5 giant from Tavares (FL) Liberty Christian Academy who is pictured above, takes an official to Wake Forest.
**Ernest Aflakpui, a 6-foot-9 power forward from Radnor (PA) Archbishop Carroll, takes an official to VCU this weekend before going to Rhode Island next weekend. He’s already been to St. Joe’s and Temple.
**Markis McDuffie , the 6-5 face-up forward from St. Anthony, also visits VCU officially this weekend before going to Wichita State the following weekend. He also plans to visit SMU and BC in October.
**Josh Sharma, a 7-foot power forward from Northfield (MA) Mount Hermon, visits Boston College officially.
**Elijah Thomas, the 6-foot-9 big man from Rockwall (TX) Lancaster, is on an official to Illinois. He has already tripped to LSU and Oklahoma State and has future visits set for SMU (Oct. 3) and Texas A&M (Oct. 11).
**Jalen Poyser, a 6-foot-4 point guard from Canada’s Athlete Institute, takes an unofficial to St. Bonaventure. He has already visited Rhode Island and will also visit Oklahoma (Oct. 3-5) and UNLV (TBD), his father told SNY.tv.
**Skal Labissiere, the 6-foot-10 forward from Lausanne Collegiate School, is at Kentucky this weekend on an official. He has also visited Georgetown and North Carolina and will hit Tennessee (Oct. 3-5) and Baylor (Oct. 10-12) and then Memphis (Oct. 31) for an unofficial.
**Purdue is hosting a pair of 2016 guards in Jarron Cumberland and Kyle Guy, as well as commits Grant Weatherford and Ryan Cline, according to Corey Evans.
